As the Legislature winds down to its last week, many of the major bills have either passed both Houses or are nearing the final stages of their path toward passage.

The week of February 8 marked the half-way point of the 2009 legislative session. We are now in full swing with both the House and the Senate taking up important legislation.

It is my pleasure to send you the first Majority Leader Report on the legislative action in Pierre. I plan to send these out on a regular basis from this point forward. The legislative session is now almost halfway over, as we have completed four weeks of our work including 17 of our 40 legislative days.
