Help Circulate My Petition

 

Dear Friend,

I am writing today to ask for your help in placing my name on the ballot for the Republican nomination for Governor of South Dakota.

 

In order to secure my place on the June 8, 2010, Primary election ballot, I must gather 2,070 valid signatures of registered Republican voters in South Dakota.  These signatures must be obtained and filed with the Secretary of State by March 31, 2010.  We need your help to gather as many signatures as you can, and then to mail the petition back to us as soon as possible.

 

These are incredibly difficult times for South Dakota families.  Our friends and neighbors have lost jobs.  We have seen the cost of groceries, gasoline, and everyday living expenses rise to the point that paychecks just do not go as far as they once did.

 

While our families have tightened their belts and cut costs during these tough economic times, we have witnessed just the opposite occurring in Pierre.  Under the Rounds-Daugaard Administration, state government spending has increased year-after-year to the point that we are now facing a budget deficit of more than $30 million dollars in 2010, and more than $100 million dollars in 2011!  This is wrong.  As Republicans, we pride ourselves in our philosophy of fiscal discipline, and in spending our tax dollars wisely.  When I am elected your new governor, I will return common sense, conservative budgeting practices to the governor’s office.  We will balance our state checkbook and make state government more efficient once again. 

 

I have spent my entire adult life solving problems and tackling difficult challenges head-on.   I am eager and ready to roll up my sleeves to get the job done for you and your family.
